Story

On the planet Farrul, amid emerald storms, beings of the Zorak lineage are born wherever energy acquires a will of its own. Farax Motgul was among their greatest warriors. Cold blue light burned beneath the dark facets of his shell, and lightning in his hands could split crystalline towers. He grew accustomed to others stepping aside and mistook their fear for respect.

Atum Torak, master of spheres and ruler of Satenum, saw in him an inexhaustible source of power. At the height of battle, the mage caught Farax in a mirror sphere and imprisoned him within the Crystal Cage of Time. The warrior froze with his hand raised to strike. Two crystal fragments hung motionless before his face.

Outside, centuries passed. Atum grew old and died. His apprentices gave way to their successors, while Satenum flourished on its captive’s energy. The Cage became known as the heart of the city. Gradually, everyone forgot that something inside it could suffer. Farax heard the keepers’ voices, watched their children grow old, and held back a tiny fraction of every impulse passing through him. Eventually, he had enough to uncurl his fingers.

When Farax’s shell shattered and reformed, his accumulated fury descended upon Satenum. Towers went dark. Rivers of energy reversed their course. That day became known as Judgment Dawn. Farax searched the collapsing palaces for his jailer until he understood: Atum was long dead. Beneath the rubble, the inhabitants of Satenum were dying, knowing nothing of his imprisonment.

Farax tried to stop the storm. At that instant, the lightning froze, and Wargul appeared among the suspended ruins.

“Now you have my attention.”

Slender threads closed around the warrior. Satenum vanished, giving way to the Arena of Eternity. Farax lunged at his new captor, but gates were already opening before him. Beyond them waited other Pieces.

Now Farax fights to reach the arena’s master, break free of his control, and return to Farrul—to rebuild what he destroyed and put an end to Atum’s legacy.

Wargul lets him hope that one day he will have the chance.
